I have an external drive that I've been using for a few years to store music on. It is essentially my iTunes library. It's been having issues where it locks up sometimes, or seems to be running slow.
I tried doing repairs with Apple's Disk Utility and got this message:
Verify and Repair disk “Music”
Checking HFS Plus volume.
Checking Extents Overflow file.
Checking Catalog file.
Invalid sibling link
Rebuilding Catalog B-tree.
Invalid node structure
Invalid record count
Invalid record count
Invalid record count
Invalid record count
Invalid record count
Invalid record count
The volume Music could not be repaired.
Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit
1 HFS volume checked
1 volume could not be repaired because of an error
Repair attempted on 1 volume
1 volume could not be repaired
Any ideas?
BTW... This is a MicroNet 500GB external drive with 256.05GB available connected to a Dual G5 PM connected via FW800.
