Twice tonight on my 1 year old MacBook Pro, the computer just crashed. No warning no nothing, with plenty of battery life left. Has this happened to anyone else? Anyone have any ideas why this would happen?

Re: MacBook Pro - Random Power Outages/Crashed
Sun, May 25, 2008 - 11:33 PMWe need more information. What do you mean by "crashed"? Which OS are you running? What were you doing at the time of the "crashes"? How much RAM do you have? Did you add RAM after purchasing the computer? -

Mon, May 26, 2008 - 10:47 AMAnd where was your computer when it happened / what was it sitting on?
I've seen MacTops shut themselves off without warning because of heat. It's usually that, or the battery is badly badly calibrated/dead. -

Mon, May 26, 2008 - 3:07 PMJust surfing the internet .. computer on a glass top coffee table. I'm thinking it was just the heat as it happened again. Weird. -

Mon, May 26, 2008 - 8:59 PMI actually use a piece of inverted wire closet shelving when I'm at home. Keeps things nice and ventilated.

I own one of these and truly love it.
Breaks down into 3 pieces and can fit into my laptop bag.
Definitely helps dissipate the heat.
