The right click function doesn't seem to operate on my mouse. Can anyone tell me another way to use this function?

If you hold down the control key while clicking with the left mouse button that should be the same as a right click.

There are a few ways to get the "right click" functionality. If you have a Mighty Mouse (the Apple mouse with a tiny ball on it, as seen here: gregmaletic.files.wordpress.com/20...jpg ), then you need only go into the Keyboard & Mouse System Preference and assign the second button to perform a right click.

The second way is to simply hold down the Control key when clicking with the primary mouse button.

The third way is for users who have a laptop. All the Intel models and the more recent PowerBooks and iBooks can right-click by using two fingers on the trackpad while clicking.

The unmentioned fourth way would be to buy a two button mouse and use it's software to assign right click functionality.
