So, I'm still on Tiger and probably will be for a long time, but I covet the new "jelly" visualizer on the Leopard version of iTunes. It's the best I've seen. Anybody know if you can load the visualizer file onto a Tiger machine?

Mon, February 4, 2008 - 12:32 AMAs far as I know, there is no Leopard specific iTunes. I am running Leopard and my iTunes version is 7.6. What version is yours?
Try running Software Update, I'll bet you'll get Jelly in your tunes. -

Tue, February 5, 2008 - 11:17 AMYah. I'm also running iTunes 7.6, currently the most recent version, and no "jelly" to speak of.
Next time I'm around someone running Leopard, I will nab the visualizer file if I can find it "under the hood" and manually load it onto my machine.
I'm doubtful that it will show up as an independent file (because it's an Apple internal visualizer, not a 3rd party download), but it's worth a shot.
Otherwise, I'll just have to "visualize" the music the old fashioned way, with my eyes closed! -

Thu, August 13, 2009 - 4:05 AMhi, i know this is thread is dead and gone but I would LOVE to get the leopard visualizers, especially Jelly, running on my copy of Tiger. Did you confirm definitively that it works on Tiger? I downloaded a bundle of the .qtz files from a third party site online and had to create a Compositions folder under System/Library (should it have been there already?) Needless to say they still aren't showing up in my itunes. Any suggestions? Please email me at lunareye@gmail.com
